Getting around Port Townsend is quite easy, though some streets can be confusing. Check out the map section to orient yourself. We sit at the northeast tip of Quimper Peninsula and a number of roads connect it to the Olympic Peninsula. The Port Townsend-Keystone ferry connects us to Whidbey Island.

Some thoughts...when you arrive by automobile, park and explore the city by bicycle or on foot if possible. The horse drawn carriage provides a charming way to visit in Victorian style. Exploring the town by walking cannot be overstated and the experience of discovering a hidden shop, gallery or street performer is worth it. Preserve our quality of life. (When you see someone in the crosswalk you must stop your vehicle and let them cross, it's the law!).

Parking is at a premium downtown and we highly encourage the use of public transportation. When you come to visit, we recommend the Haines Place Park-N-Ride. Park and take the bus downtown, to Fort Worden, or to the fairgrounds.
